Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was rendered a doubtful starter for today's  third and final One-dayer against Pakistan due to a sore back.
 He was actually asked about the absence of middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh at the training session and the skipper said, "If at all somebody is doubtful, it's me. I have a sore back and we have called Dinesh Karthik as back up.
 "Since it was an optional practice session, Yuvraj did not come," he said.  Asked, who will lead the side if he does not recover in time, Dhoni said, "Let's hope that I play. We'll see ."

The five ODI series with England is going to begin in a few day and the selectors are going to observe the performance of each individual player and select the squad for the upcoming series. There is every chance that one or two players will be dropped from the Indian team for the upcoming England series. The third ODI will be very crucial for Sehwag, Rohit, Raina and Jadeja.

India win toss, chose bat first in final ODI

India won toss and elected to bat first in the third and final one day international match against Pakistan at Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium of New Dehli on Sunday.

Pakistan has already won the series by defeating India in the first two games were played in Chennai and Kolkata.

India made two changes and dropped Virender Sehwag and Ashok Dinda gave chance to Ajinkaya Rehane and Shami Ahmed.

Pakistan also made one change in the team won last game and replace Umer Akmel with Azher Ali.

Both the met only one time in Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium, New Dehli which Pakistan won by 159 runs.

In the ongoing ODI series Pakistan defeated India by six wickets in the first ODI while in the second one dayer green shirts thrashed team India by 85 runs.

Mohinder Sindh Dhoni won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first in  second one-day international at Eden Gardens on Thursday.

Pakistan lead series by 1-0 after they defeated India in first one-day international by six wickets.

Eden Gardens is hosting the second one day international match between Pakistan and India on Thursday (today). Eden Gardens stadium is a favorite ground for Pakistan as they have a very good record here.

Pakistan won the first ever one day match played at Eden Gardens. The first match was played on this ground in 1987 between India and Pakistan and Pakistan won the match. Pakistan has a record of 5-1 here. India lost all the three one day matches played against Pakistan in this stadium. Both the teams are playing a match here after eight years.

Curator of Eden Gardens informed that one day wicket is being prepared to suit the stroke play. There will be bounce for the pacers and as the play continues, spinners will bowl effectively he said.

Winning the match at Eden Gardens means another series loss for India.  The Indian team and captain Dhoni are under fire from critics already and there are also demands from various people to change the captain.
