India 2-0 in the series with will look to complete the series here in Harare today. Until now, it was a good competitive cricket in Zimbabwe the opportunity to score 200 + in both cases. India to join alone without the main attack has some work. R Kumar wine was expensive in two of his last outing and Shami Ahmed has not been impressive as well. In the batting and Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina failed to score runs so far. For Zimbabwe, being the minnows they gave a good fight against no. 1 ranked team in India. They took away and bowled quite brilliantly, and will be hoping for a turn in the third ODI to keep the series alive and interesting.

Pakistan vs West Indies 1st T20 Live Streaming and live Scorecard

Pakistan and West Indies clash in the first of the two-match Twenty20 series on Saturday in Kingstown.

Pakistan led by Misbah to a 3-1 victory in the ODI series, will now be captained by Mohammad Hafeez while Darren Sammy, who lifted the World Twenty20 trophy last year, is back as captain of the West Indies taking guard from Dwayne Bravo for the home side.

Both rivals have a good reputation in the shortest version of the game, have met just once in Twenty20s with West Indies clinching the tie by seven runs in their 2011 home series.

The hosts will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing series loss in the One-Day Internationals (ODI).

The two teams will meet on Saturday and Sunday in back to back two T20 Internationals.

West Indies have played unbeaten in this format since they won the ICC World T20 Tournament in Sri Lanka last October and Sammy said his team will look to maintain their unbeaten run as they start to build towards the ICC World T20 tournament in Bangladesh early next year.

Since the World T20 triumph West Indies beat Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla in Dhaka last December, defeated Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane in February and had back-to-back wins over Zimbabwe at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua in March.

Pakistan Vs West Indies 1st T20 Live Score Today

Two unfamiliar foes with impressive pedigrees in cricket's shortest format meet as Pakistan conclude their short tour of the West Indies with T20 Internationals in St Vincent on Saturday and Sunday. Brimming with confidence following a 3-1 triumph in the five-match One-Day International series which concluded on Wednesday in neighbouring St Lucia, the visitors will nevertheless be wary of taking on a home side that has played unbeaten since lifting the World T20 title last October in Sri Lanka.

Curiously, there has been only one previous meeting between the two teams in this version, on Pakistan's last visit to the Caribbean in 2011 when the West Indies held on for a seven-run victory at the Beausejour Stadium. The weekend fixtures therefore represent an opportunity to redress that deficiency on a stage where both teams are blessed with players who appear to revel in the sport's newest and most popular incarnation.

For all their struggles in ODI's in the past month, Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard will be expected to return to their dominating, destructive best with the bat in the manner that has made them among the most sought-after players for the many T20 competitions now played around the world. Pakistan, with Mohammad Hafeez at the helm, also have a stage to showcase their explosive, match-winning talents to any interested franchises while at the same time seeking to reinforce their country's impressive reputation in the 20-over-per-side variety.

Winners of the World T20 in 2009 in England, they were beaten finalists to India in the inaugural event in South Africa two years earlier and reached the semi-finals as defending champions in the West Indies in 2010. They have brought in three T20 specialists – batsman Hammad Azam, seamer Sohail Tanvir and all-rounder Zulfiqar Babar – to complement the likes of the mercurial Shahid Afridi. West Indies, with Darren Sammy back as captain, have also drafted in a trio with skills specifically suited to T20 cricket in spinner Samuel Badree, fast bowler Shannon Gabriel and all-rounder Christopher Barnwell. Coming as they do on the eve of the inaugural Caribbean Premier League T20 tournament, the weekend showdowns at Arnos Vale are therefore an ideal curtain-raiser for that event while also offering Pakistan the chance to conclude what has already been a successful campaign by stealing the thunder from the world champions in their own backyard.

Squads:

Pakistan: Mohammad Hafeez (capt), Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed, Hammad Azam, Haris Sohail, Umar Amin, Asad Shafiq, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz, Asad Ali, Zulfiqar Babar, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan.

West Indies: D Sammy (capt), C Gayle, J Charles, DM Bravo, M Samuels, L Simmons, DJ Bravo, K Pollard, D Sammy, C Barnwell, S Narine, T Best, S Gabriel.

Pakistan Vs India Champions Trophy 2013 Live Score Today

BIRMINGHAM - Pakistan and India clash in a Champions Trophy match in Edgbaston on Saturday that promises high-voltage action despite the academic nature of the contest.

What was expected to be the marquee battle of the eight-nation tournament -- tickets for the match were sold out within hours of going on sale last November -- has been reduced to a dead rubber.

World Cup champions India are already through to the semi-finals after winning both group B matches so far, while Pakistan have crashed out of the race with two successive defeats.

But sporting contests between the arch-rivals are never irrelevant for players and millions of fans across the globe as heroes turn villains -- or vice-versa -- depending on the result.

As India look to smoothen rough edges ahead of the semi-finals, Pakistan will play for pride hoping to build on the 2-1 series success in India in December-January.

"I don t think the Indian team has ever played a dead game," skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni said, referring to the huge fan following his side enjoys.

"The match is also important to improve in the areas we want to."

Pakistan coach Dav Whatmore added: "It s an important match. It s certainly not a dead game for us and we will look to give our best."

Pakistan were let down by poor batting, having been bowled out for 170 by the West Indies and then dismissed for 167 by a depleted South African attack missing frontline strike bowlers Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel.

Skipper Misbah-ul Haq and Nasir Jamshed were the only batsmen to offer resistance in the two games, which put the hard-working bowlers under additional pressure.

Misbah, who top-scored with an unbeaten 96 and 55 in both matches, conceded the batting failure cost his side dearly.

"There are a lot of positives to take from this tournament," he said. "We bowled and fielded very well, but the batting has not been good. The batsmen are much better than what they have done here."

Misbah, whose side was taunted by fans after the loss to South Africa, insisted the team were still very motivated to perform well against India.

"When a team plays the way we have, criticism is bound to come," he said. "Supporters are like that. They also praise you when you do well.

"We must now play to our potential against India. We should not go back empty-handed."

India, meanwhile, justified their number one ranking in one-day cricket with two impressive performances against South Africa and the West Indies.

They piled up 331-7 against the Proteas to win by 26 runs on a flat Cardiff pitch, and then restricted the West Indies to 233-9 at the Oval to win by eight wickets.

Left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan shone with superb back-to-back centuries, making 114 off 94 balls against South Africa and an unbeaten 102 against the West Indies.

It was the third successive international century for the moustache-twirling 27-year-old from Delhi, who scored a spectacular 187 off 174 balls against Australia on his Test debut in March.

India have also been well-served by Rohit Sharma, who partnered Dhawan for two century stands at the top of the order, and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, whose five wickets laid low the West Indies.

Pakistan vs South Africa LIVE SCORE ICC Champions Trophy 2013

Birmingham, United Kingdom:  Handed defeats in their respective tournament-openers, Pakistan and South Africa would be fighting to stay alive in the ICC Champions Trophy when they take on each other in their second group B match here on Monday.

While Pakistan lost their opening match to the West Indies in a low-scoring cliffhanger, South Africa were beaten by India by 26 runs.

Tomorrow's match will be a shootout of sorts for both the teams and it is the South Africans, who are looking more vulnerable, despite the well-known unpredictability of the Pakistanis.

The Proteas are faced with the challenge of playing Pakistan without two of their main strike bowlers as Morne Morkel has gone back home due to injury, while Dale Steyn remains a "work in progress" on the fitness front.

The update on Steyn is still not quite clear after the the world's No.1 fast bowler was injured during a warm-up match against Pakistan at the Oval last Monday after bowling just five overs. Pakistan went on to win the game by five wickets.

"Dale is a work in progress as far as recovery is concerned. We can only get him to start bowling once he is symptom-free," Mohammed Moosajee, South Africa team manager and doctor, has explained.

Newcomer Chris Morris is almost certain to make his ODI debut against Pakistan. Morris replaced Morkel, who was forced to return home due to a groin injury against India.

"I've been with this team for two years. Morne has been injured once and Dale has never been injured. Now it's come together. That's a curveball," admitted South Africa coach Gary Kirsten.

Pakistan may not have injury concerns to deal with, but Misbah-ul-Haq still has plenty of worries on his plate. Misbah was the lone batsman to put up a semblance of fight against the West Indies with a 96 not out after coming in at No. 5. He has since pleaded with his batsmen to play with more responsibility and stay on for at least the entire 50 overs.

"...even after losing three wickets (for 15 runs) at one stage, the game was under control, but then we made mistakes. So it's just about taking responsibility and taking the games to the end. The batsmen need to be more responsible and just carry on," said Misbah.

What Pakistan took confidence from was their bowling show which stifled the Windies, who made a hash of the chase before winning by two wickets.

"I think the biggest positive from this game was our bowling. All the seamers bowled really well and bowled their heart out and took wickets. And at one time we were really in the hunt, so it's really a big positive, and it just creates pressure on the opposition," Misbah said.

If Pakistan manage to give their best in batting, they have a good chance of knocking out the 1998 champions.

Teams (from):

South Africa: AB de Villiers (capt), Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Jean-Paul Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Colin Ingram, Rory Kleinveldt, Ryan McLaren, David Miller, Morne Morkel, Alviro Petersen, Robin Peterson, Aaron Phangiso, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

Pakistan: Misbah-ul-Haq (c), Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Asad Shafiq, Saeed Ajmal, Junaid Khan, M. Irfan, Asad Ali, Wahab Riaz, Umer Amin, Abdul Rehman, Ehsan Adil.

Pakistan vs South Africa Live Streaming ICC Champions Trophy 2013

BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan and South Africa would be fighting to stay alive in the ICC Champions Trophy when they take on each other here today.

Pakistan lost their opening match to the West Indies in a low-scoring match, and South Africa were beaten by India by 26 runs.

Dale Steyn is unlikely to be available for South Africa’s vital clash today who sustained a side strain during the warm-up game against Pakistan on June 3.

With Morne Morkel ruled out of the tournament with a quad strain, and Jacques Kallis missing the event for personal reasons, the Protease now lacking experienced bowlers in a must-win game.

On the other hand, not everything is positive for Pakistan either as batting line up failed to make any impression against West Indies. Misbah was the lone batsman to put up a semblance of fight with a 96 not out after coming in at No. 5.

Today’s match would depend a lot on how the batsmen perform.

India v South Africa 1st ODI Live Score ICC Champions Trophy 2013

CARDIFF (AFP) - Gary Kirsten begins his final stint as South Africa s coach against former team India in the Champions Trophy opener in Cardiff on Thursday.

The last time the two teams played a one-day international, during the 2011 World Cup, Kirsten was on the other side as India s coach, plotting their eventual title triumph on home soil.

Former South African opener Kirsten left India after the World Cup to take up the job with his home country, leading Graeme Smith s side to the top of the world rankings in Test cricket.

The final edition of the Champions Trophy will be the popular 45-year-old s last assignment with South Africa, before he makes away for his deputy Russell Domingo in order to devote time to his family.

South Africa s one-day captain, AB de Villiers, hoped his side, often ridiculed as chokers for their failure to win major titles, will give the coach a fitting farewell by winning the eight-nation tournament.

"It would be nice to give him a good farewell," said de Villiers. "He s been a great coach to us. We ve learnt a lot from him in the few years that he s been with us.

"He s more like a mentor on the team. I find it funny calling him coach because no one calls him coach. He s almost like one of our friends and a mentor kind of guy."

Kirsten will be up against an almost new-look Indian squad with just three players -- skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina -- having played in the World Cup final against Sri Lanka in Mumbai two years ago.

India go into the tournament as the top-ranked one-day side, but have lost five of their last seven internationals against South Africa, including a three-wicket defeat in the World Cup in Nagpur.

The Proteas are often regarded as the best side never to have won cricket s showpiece, the 50-over World Cup, or the World Twenty20, and de Villiers was desperate to set the record straight.

"We represent a very proud cricketing nation, and we d like to make them proud in this tournament."

But South Africa s prospects of making a winning start could be hampered if star fast bowler Dale Steyn is ruled out with the side strain that meant he only bowled five overs in a warm-up match against Pakistan.

The Proteas have misfired so often in major events that few can recall their victory in the inaugural ICC knockout tournament in Bangladesh in 1998, an event that later became the Champions Trophy.

Dhoni s men, meanwhile, will look to draw millions of their fans back to on-field cricket issues following the unsavoury spot-fixing scandal in the Indian Premier League that has hogged the media spotlight for the past fortnight.

Three IPL players have been arrested, while the powerful Indian cricket chief Narayanswamy Srinivasan stepped down temporarily on Sunday after his son-in-law was also accused of spot-fixing.

The Indian team got a boost ahead of the tournament when it received a shield and a cheque of $175,000 from the International Cricket Council for being the top-ranked one-day side at the annual cut-off date of April 1.

"I am very proud of this huge achievement," Dhoni said. "Being number one brings with it a certain respect for the game itself and for the way in which we play the game and conduct ourselves on the field."

And there was a fresh boost for India when they hammered Champions Trophy-holders Australia by 243 runs in a warm-up match in Cardiff on Tuesday.

Australia were bowled out for just 65 after India, who were 55 for five themselves, saw Dinesh Karthik (146 not out) and Dhoni (91) take them to 308 for six.

But India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin warned against reading too much into the extraordinary result.

"It s a practice game and it is good to get as much as you can out of it from our point of view rather than looking at what the result is," he said. "The day after tomorrow (Thursday) this does not matter and we will have to start again."

We are already discussing our predictions for the Champions Trophy, but if we look at this warm up match I have to say that both teams have an equal chance, and they will take it as a match to try a few things and get used to the conditions where the ball is going to do a little bit. Both teams have good seamers who can swing the ball, but Sri Lanka is better in the spin department while India has a very strong batting list with some of the best young batsmen around.
